The objective of our rights and advocacy programs is to promote and protect equalization of opportunities and realization of human rights for PWDs to live decent livelihoods.
The SBRC Rights and Advocacy on disability-inclusive development will work with a wide network of civil society organizations and government institutions working together to build an inclusive society where children and youth with disabilities have equal access to education, health, and protection of their wellbeing in society.
The programs under this theme shall focus on:
- Create awareness for a disability-inclusive Somali society.
- Generate knowledge on the situation of children with disabilities and organize learning forums/events to share best practices.
- Represent the interests of children and youth with disabilities at local, regional, and international forums.
- Mobilize resources and technical expertise to inform development practice on children and youth with disabilities in Somalia
